Rights And Responsibilities by Amanda
Responsibilities when using social media
When you are using Facebook they are certain terms and conditions you must take into consideration however we tend to not read these so are not quite aware of them and only when something occurs then we realise what we as individuals have opted ourselves into. This is simple things such as you should not post your personal information on your Facebook page because once its there its there is nothing you can do to remove this. It can be things such as national identification numbers, passport numbers, exam numbers and anything that shows your address, contact number etc. This can cause spam very easily therefore if you prevent doing so this wont occur.Facebook has a harassment policy in place this should be applied and as an individual you should not send messages to people with curse words in it, threats for deaths, injuries or even anything to cause them physical harm. You shouldn't accuse anyone of being a victim of an event or even try to accuse them of this.Never should you ever post something about someone's personal life not even with permission. As a responsible person you should also ensure that you carry out these things to make it what it is which is to communicate with friends and families and also to make everyone is treated right and feel safer and not feel threatened when all your trying to do is keeping social. Hate speech isn't tolerated as it may affect others. As parents we should ensure that our kids does not go on Facebook to young as this can make their safety more risky and also Facebook should ensure a way in which this cannot be breached against and put in a way in which you can know exactly its the child and not the parent.
Rights of using Facebook as an individual
As an individual you are able to report anything that you feel is a threat to you and your personal well being this can be anything from sexual harassment, bullying, violence, criminal and or anything life threatening. This is because Facebook has a different policy for all these things and if this is not met and is reported to them they remove it right away in order to make all these individuals using their service to have the right to feel safe and secure. If someone posts a picture of you without your permission you can then send in a request for it to be taken down and it will be removed.Facebook does not promote any sort of sexual behaviour if they see this they take it down as it isn't anybody right to post these things as it can ruin anyone life. You are safeguarded by Facebook terms of service which ensure that if someone's information is being copyright or even being breach that it is not posted. Facebook also doesn't promote any pages that supports terrorism or any form of unexpected behaviour.Another right is that you are allowed to bring unsafe behaviour on Facebook to other people but you shouldn't message anyone and accuse them of this you should just report it.Once you report something always remember your rights as an individual is very important to Facebook and will always be taken into consideration.

DeleteIts good to know you are able to remove information once you have put it onto a website but also think you should add that if you put information online then those websites have the right to use your information. Other than that I feel that you have great knowledge on the rights and responsibilities of social media and have made a great blog out of it.
